Welcome to Klinik Alam Medic . We are part of the well-established KLINIK ALAM MEDIC group. Our clinic was setup in April 2007 in the neighbourhood of Bukit Jelutong being the pioneer 24hour clinic in the area., having a focus on family practice.

Dr. Surekha Sandhu
General Practitioner (GP)
I was originally from the beautiful island of Penang but have now settled in Bukit Jelutong where my practice is based. Having undertaken my medical training at the Royal College of Surgeons (RCSI) in Dublin, Ireland graduating in 1994 i returned to Malaysia. After having gone through various rotations, I completed government service training in 1999. As i enjoyed all aspects of medicine i decided to pursue a more generalist career and hence became a General Practitioner (GP)
In 2007, After gaining valuable experience practicing with established GP’s, Klinik Alam Medic – Bukit Jelutong was setup and i joined as a partner and the Doctor In-charge. My main areas of interests are general medicine especially in non-communicable diseases, child and women’s health. However i do enjoy all that general practice has to offer!
I keep abreast of new developments in the medical field by attending continuous medical education talks and workshops regularly. I am also a life member of the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA). Outside of work i enjoy spending time with my family and kept busy with my 2 childrens activites. My personal interest include Reading, Photography and Travelling.
Finally its an honor to be a GP and be there for my patients as they navigate their health journeys.

I joined Klinik Alam Medic Bukit Jelutong since September 2017.It’s an established clinic with diligent staff and I was happy to start my private practice with them. I started my medical career in 2009 after graduating from Crimea State Medical University,Ukraine and continued my housemenship(HO) in Hospital Sultan Abdul Halim Sungai Petani where I equipped myself with good skills and knowledge from the best specialists and medical officers.After completion of housemenship,I joined KK(Klinik Kesihatan) as my passion is to give the best care for the community in primary care.This includes non-communicable diseases,child and women’s health.
I served the government(Ministry Of Health) for 7 years all based in 3 different Klinik Kesihatan .There I was in charge of MCH(Maternal and Child Health) and was trained to follow up pregnant and non-pregnant women and also child health care.After being well trained in the government sector I decided to shift to general practice as my aim is to treat a smaller community and to become a family doctor and offer the best so that I can to improve the health of the community.
To keep up with latest guidelines and new technologies in medicine,im now pursuing my studies in Family Medicine under Academy of Family Physician of Malaysia with the hope for betterment of medical treatment and to give the best to my beloved patients.Its definitely an honour to be part of this GP practice.
